makeshift work stands for q 45

I used an 18" by 19" cardboard box to secure the rear wheel while constructing my new q 45. I used a foam roller inside the box to raise the height of the axel (rather than cutting down the box). I think it worked quite well.
Pictured also is a simple work stand made with lumber: a 2" by 7" base, and a couple of 1" by 6" arms. The bike rests on a 9" piece of 1" pcv pipe wrapped with some foam packaging material and there are 4 pieces of foam stuffed between the bike frame and the wooden arms to laterally stabilize the bike. The top of the hole for the pvc pipe is located about 31" above the floor and the stand lifts the front tire about 4" above the floor. The pipe is held to the frame by friction.

A regular work stand is fine for the Q45 if the clamp opens wide enough for the boom tube. You want it to hold the bike high enough so the rear wheel is lower (or resting on the ground). Else the rear of the bike will want to swing around.
