Had a great three days of cycling in and around Chelan, WA over the weekend. Day 2 was the climb up McNeil Canyon Rd, about 2500 feet over the course of 5.72 miles. I only made the first 2 miles and change (at 12-13%). Kind of dinged myself up on day 1 in a low speed fall (bruised my backside), and that left me hurting every time that I flexed to start moving, and unable to effectively sit up to grind hills. Still, on day 3 I managed to ride up and over Knapp and Navarre Coulees, for 51 miles and 3400 feet at 16.5 mph. Great weekend of beautiful country, terrific food, and the best of company. I'll take McNeil next time around.
