Metallic rattle in rear triangle turned out to be serious

For a lot longer than I'd like to admit I had been hearing a metal-on-metal rattle in my rear triangle. I finally discovered the elastomer shock was completely loose, and held in place only by friction. The bolt inside had worked itself loose entirely. I was surprised how far it went into the frame before tightening, leaving only about 1cm protruding from the frame.

I was advised to never use anything stronger than blue thread lock on bike type attachments. That seems to fit well with many components that come with blue on the attachment bolts. (I don't know the background though it makes sense - we're not dealing with extreme forces, extreme temperature or extreme temperature changes.)

Mine (on Silvio V1.0) was a very loose fit, so I went Red!
I found it as the bolt had wound out and reduced the rear suspension movement to 5 mm before hammering on the top of the rear fork Ti clamp, as our roads In the Adelaide Hills are nearly as bad as Scotland!!!!!!
