I made my own midsole cleats from high end MTB shoes. In my case Sidi Draco's and Speed Play Frog cleats. You need something with a full carbon sole, and a flat area to mount the cleats. Can anybody show me a midsole conversion with power meter pedals, not that a power meter is in my near future but maybe with IQsquare going pedal based it could be possible, one day.
They will have MTB pedals but would like to see road conversion if people have done it.
Cheers.
How did you insert the nuts on the inside of the shoe? Here are pics of my mid sole cleat conversion.

I got a set of nuts that are connected together like a dogbone. These were installed under the insole and then covered with Gorilla tape, and then I reinstalled the insole. How did you insert the nuts on the inside of the shoe?
That can be a good thing. On my T50, it allowed me to raise the BB, which is more comfortable long term. I am still happy with my mid-sole conversion, but I have no choice, I either do it this way or I can't ride at all, due to big toe issues. That's the problem. If you are a mid-footer your x-seam is effectively shorter.
