Midsole conversion with power meter pedals

Can anybody show me a midsole conversion with power meter pedals, not that a power meter is in my near future but maybe with IQsquare going pedal based it could be possible, one day.
They will have MTB pedals but would like to see road conversion if people have done it.
Cheers.

Midsole conversions usually require an MTB pedal with an STP style cleat. You can get closer to midsole with Speedplay pedals and an adapter that allows the cleat to go back farther on the shoe.

I made my own midsole cleats from high end MTB shoes. In my case Sidi Draco's and Speed Play Frog cleats. You need something with a full carbon sole, and a flat area to mount the cleats.

Took me a while to work up the courage to drill the soles for the new cleat positions, but they work great.

I'll post some pics when I get home.

I've drilled plenty of carbon soles to put either Frog or Syzr cleats midsole but to my eyeballing of it, a power meter set of pedals won't fit there. Sidi Drako, Three sets of Sidi 6.6, and various others that didn't make the cut comfort wise.

I'd love to see if anyone has mounted midsole power meter pedal cleats.

How did you insert the nuts on the inside of the shoe?
I got a set of nuts that are connected together like a dogbone. These were installed under the insole and then covered with Gorilla tape, and then I reinstalled the insole.

The hardest part was the fact that the special little countersunk screws for the cleats were too short for the new location. I had to go buy longer metric stainless steel screws and file the heads down until they were flush.

P.S. I love the Draco's once I broke them in.

In thought; expanding the paradigm of traversity
I reverted. My boom is pretty vertical and my bottom bracket too high. If I have cleat at the front of the shoe it's enough to get the bottom bracket further down giving me stability and more power.
Best to try and see if it works for you.

That's the problem. If you are a mid-footer your x-seam is effectively shorter.
That can be a good thing. On my T50, it allowed me to raise the BB, which is more comfortable long term. I am still happy with my mid-sole conversion, but I have no choice, I either do it this way or I can't ride at all, due to big toe issues.

Here are my shoes with Look Keo style clips for Garmin or PS power pedals. I just made an adapter out of thick aluminum and tapped the correct size holes in it to attach the cleats to.
I really like them. I thought having my toes up an inch higher would make me less aero and slower but I have not really seem much change in speed.
