At the CB Retreat earlier this month, I asked @DARYLHANGER945 about a cool little mirror on his V20 bars. I had been looking - not happy w the rattling and cumbersome models I’ve tried on my S40. The Zefal Spy is brilliant. Ordered 1 for each side. Small, slightly convex mirror is clear and gives good visibility for a small mirror. Silicone straps work on any bar or tube between 20 and 60mm. I wrapped them around the hoods where the mirror body sits snugly behind each hood and out of the wind. They are stable and don’t shake w every bump in the road. Great upgrade.

Perhaps the Zefal Spy mirror has been improved in recent years but I found them to be optically inferior to others such as the Busch & Muller Cycle Star or Mirrycle mirrors.

I agree with the spy mirror's optics. It's distorted. I use this mirror.

But the "amazingly wide field of view" of the Ultralite mirror can be annoying when heading east and the sun is low or following vehicles have too-bright lights.

Have used the Ortlieb but find that it is not steady enough. Too much shake to get a good, stable view. Also not very happy with the positioning on the bars. The Cycle Star also shakes all over the place and bounces out of alignment on bumpy roads. Potato - tomato I suppose!

I agree... it's kind of a pain to find a good location on the bar, and it doesn't rotate far enough.

this is the best mirror bar none, if you haven't used one you're missing out. I use mine without the little extension stick. ALso because it's glass you get perfect clarity and it's very scratch resistant.

yes as per Robert holler remove the stalk. Great mirror .
