Hello everyone,
I just want to share some pictures of my bike with you :

Originally, the rack had two support legs in the shape of a Y. They were meant to be attached to the rear arm each side of the wheel. But I wanted to attach it to the frame instead. I cut off a portion of each legs (which according to the picture would be the upper left segment of the former "y") so I could carefully bend the remaining piece until it reached the frame below the seatpost. If you look closely at the extreme end of the rack and the middle of the leg, you can see the bare metal where I cut it off.
It is an immense pleasure to cruise along with my little 2 years old daughter, who cheerfully says hello to people smiling at us !Cruzbike, thank you very much for this so brilliant FWD concept !
All the best,
Jean-Daniel.

Good looking bike!

The handlebar looks awfully low and..... cozy. You can't possibly sit up on the bike, can you?

Nice job adapting the child carrier.

Re: My 700cc wheels conversion

Thanks Mark,
You are right, the handlebar is low indeed. Yet I don't have any problem getting on the bike or whatever since I am very skinny (5'8'' and 115 Lbs !!!). But everyone else who tried my bike and are «normal weight» have their belly almost pushing against the handlebar !
I could'nt use the extension provided with the kit because the diameter of my steering tube is too small. I needed to improvise something like this :

As for the riding position, I have to admit a higher handlebar and a lower seat would be even more comfortable.
All the best,
Jean-Daniel.

Hi Jean-Daniel,

You can use one of these to adapt the stem tube to your small-diameter stem:

Love your bike - very nicely executed 700c.

Best,

Doug

Re: My 700cc wheels conversion

Hello Doug,
Thank you for the info ! My conversion bike already rides well and the solution you suggest would improve the riding even better. Still it remains a heavy bike : 44 Lbs... I'll keep posting to let you know. Thank you again,
Jean-Daniel.
