My first crash - on a Cruzbike

Going down fast on a small descent with my Sofrider; no hill or mountain, just a small descent with a sharp turn to the left on the end, one moment I was on the bike and the other moment the bike was on me!
Got my left leg pretty bad scratched, but I must say I am very happy not to have broken any bones.
The picture shows how my left shoe ended up. From the picture you can imagine my leg and thigh...

What caused the accident? I was riding a Maxxis Detonator 1.25 100 psi. Good and fast tires. I didn't notice the front one got punctured and wasn't at full pressure.
When I turned left at the end of the descent the tire kind of moved on the rim. It didn't come out of the rim but it was enough to throw me to the floor.
Ankle, knee and bike didn't suffer any major injuries :)

Ouch

Sorry to hear about your accident, but at least you're able to tell the tale. I have feared a front flat like that, but I have been lucky. However, a couple weeks ago, I was on a long straight stretch of road when my rear tire was punctured. As I was going straight and the roads were smooth and slick with rain, I never realized the flat until I took a left-hand turn at an intersection and quickly felt my rear break loose and fishtail through the intersection. Luckily, I stayed upright.

Oh...good move on putting a piece of waxed paper on the counter before your shoes went up there. In my house, bike shoes are not allowed in such places. ;-)
