Nah! I'm not fazed by their attitude. I know the owner and the shop deals with a lot of competitive racers which keep them more than busy. He knows I can do most of my own work including making intricate special tools and he will occasionally asks for help.
He will though, offer advice with complimentary parts and work on stuff if I bring it in. He just isn't set up for bikes different to the racing scene.
He's not alone but there are others farther afield that are fascinated.
Either way I just use them for what they can provide that I cannot do myself.
