I’m updating the groupset on my s40 and could not settle on the gearing given recumbents lack the “ran out of gear” ability of a DF to stand on the pedals.
The ones I did find were pretty old, required a lot of editing so comparison was tedious and lacked any discussion of watts.
I made a small, self contained web page that lets you compare multiple options with a breakdown of gear spacing, standard gear calculator features (speed, cadence, etc). It also includes a climbing power tab where you can enter your stats and it will give the estimated power required to maintain that gear/cadence. The latter has been so helpful on deciding which setup to select.
