Ack!

Copywright means it is only viewable in Australia.
Looks like I might have to find me a proxy server tonight. :)

Intro package was awesome.

Well done John and

Well done John and congratulations!

However I was a little surprised at the choice of models to show off. Given that you won the evening it doesn't make a big difference, but I would have thought that the Silvio and Quest would have been a better pair rather than the Silvio and Vendetta, as they are both high performance road bikes. The Quest (or even my favourite, the Sofrider) would have broadened appeal to a wider range of potential riders.
Cheers,

aunties integrity

I know what you mean - but aunties integrity had to be respected. The actual invention is the defined by the US patent on Silvio, which describes a single telescoping tube between crank and handlebar. Sofrider and Quest are not inventions by that test. By other assessments they might be.

John

The Australian Broadcasting Commission is sometimes refered to as 'auntie.' Independence, integrity make our auntie what it is.

Vendetta

John,

I took delivery of my Vendetta about two weeks ago. I'm sorry that I did not fully appreciate your selection of components. I made the following modifications based on my experience with the Silvio over the past three years. I mounted the WTB mountain drop bars along with Dura Ace STI 10 speed shifters/levers. I also mounted the Ultegra 6703 (30-39-52) triple crankset. Minor modification was necessary. I am using Ksyrium SL wheels with a SRAM XX 11-32 10 speed cluster and a Shimano XTR nine speed rear derailluer, which works fine with the 10 speed shifters. I have ridden the vendetta for over 50 miles now. It is certainly higher performance and lighter weight than the Silvio. I would say that the bike is not for the first timeFWD recumbent rider. it requires a higher order of concentration. I do find the vendetta to be more comfortable than the Silvio. I am looking forward to putting many more miles on the bike. It does seem to allow me to climb better. I'll keep you up on my exploits. I also hope to enlighten riders as to the virtues of theFWD recumbent.

Marshall
