North to West Head

Another not-really-a-ride-report from me, when I have more time I'll come back and describe the ride but for the time being here's some pretty pictures :) The pics are from this morning's Bike North 'North to West Head' ride, which as the name suggests goes to the lookout at West Head (northern Sydney) where there are some fantastic views. Click on the photo below to see the rest of the photos.

Nice photos there are many beautiful places on this planet it is also better pedalling to see them than just taking your car. You get more impressions and if you have to climb it is quit satisfying getting to the top. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Peder :) I certainly thought I'd earned the views by the time I got to West Head, by that point I'd been riding for about 45km at a fast pace with lots (and lots) of hills and some dead road surfaces that made it feel like I was climbing even when I wasn't! Very satisfying though, as you say. And there was a lot more beautiful scenery that I didn't photograph too (because we didn't stop), the National Parks and adjoining areas on the northern edge of Sydney are really lovely.

Google map of the location of the photos is here, in case anyone is interested. Incidentally Palm beach, which is visible in a couple of the photos, is where they shoot the exterior scenes for Home and Away...

Beautiful.
Just like my memories of the Coastal Highway (1) in California...only different.
