Seriously? A pickup truck (why always a pickup truck?) runs down nine cyclists and kills five. Nine? He hit all nine? And then, what does the driver do? He runs away, literally, with his feet. Because his truck was so damaged, he couldn't drive away like the ODRAM killer did. Speechless.

Do you mean the part about where it's your fault if you get hit by a bullet because you were in the bullet's path? And why weren't you wearing a bulletproof helmet?

It infuriates me to no end how conversations about deaths, injuries, and safety are always focused on cyclists and pedestrians. Motorists are the lazy buttholes endangering everyone and everything in their path.

Well that driver seemed like an imbicil however what about the texter behind the wheel who just recently killed a recumbent rider in Newfoundland?

Different circumstance but same result.

Governments have to invest more into cycle awareness. I for one enjoy the mirror on my handlebar and being right in front of me I know when to hit the eject button. However DF riders are a little more blind.

But even if you didn't get killed outright it would still be a good idea to have a video recorder to record the last twenty minutes from behind.
