I got my Vendetta two days ago and today has been my second ride on it . 60 kilometers uphill and downhill. I thought I knew what to expect since I own a Silvio too but it is still better than expected .It is a great bike.
It is stiff , light and easy to handle either riding uphill or downhill at high speeds .You feel very secure on it with your arms resting on the bull horn handlebar.
And it goes faster than the Silvio on flat roads.
The Silvio does climb well and so does the Vendetta but it feels easier on the Vendetta.
I still have to get used to the headrest and find the ideal setting for it because I don't much like the lower part of my helmet bumping on it .
I tried with and without . But it will have to be with for the sake of the back of my neck .
With an X-seam of 99 ,my legs were too short to allow comfortable and efficient pedalling . So we ( my husband more than I ) had to add extra padding to be perfectly comfortable . In fact he carved a little piece tailored for my back out of hard foam ( that used as building material) . And he inserted it in-between the 2 existing layers of padding inside the seat cover thus allowing just the lower part of my back to rest on it .
And it is okay now .
I have ridden many recumbent bikes but I very sinecerly think that the Vendetta is the most accomplished one so far.
