I recently realized I had some lovely shots of my S40 that I hadn't shared from a camping trip in late 2019. My mom's birthday is in December, by far the easiest time of year to get reservations in the park, so we all decided to take a family camping trip, riding our bikes out to the Coast campground.
My brother's road bike didn't have the tires for the terrain, so I lent him my hardtail.
Luckily, MY road bike is an S40, and has the tire clearance to easily handle mild offroading like this. We hitched up my trailers and hauled out everything for my mom's special day--a big ol' tent, charcoal for grilling, a small catalytic propane heater, etc.
Ultimately, it was a really wonderful weekend. The versatility of this vehicle is truly astounding.
