I am the second owner of an upgraded first generation Q45. The bike is currently in San Diego where I frequently travel from our current home in northern Arizona. Cosmetically it is in good condition (a few spots of rubbed off paint from carrying on a bike rack) and mechanically it is in excellent condition.

Upgrades include: Racks (Q45 Touring and Commmuting Rack, Q45 TerraCycle Easy Reacher Under Seat Rack), SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed Derailleur, SRAM NX Eagle 12 grip shifter, Woolf Tooth 48T Dropstop Chainring, TRS Plus 12-Speed Cassette - 9-46T, Thor Carrier seat with Ventiseat, Soma Gator Bar dirt drop handlebar)

This is a first generation Q45 and the largest tire it can take is 1.75.

Got more pics? Video?
Thanks!
Also, if I buy, could you have it packed and shipped through a local bike shop?

Hi Gordon,

Thanks for your interest. I am happy to send more photos, etc., but will not be able to do so for a few weeks. We live in a remote area in northern AZ and the bike is currently in San Diego. We will be there in early April.

What part of the country are you in?

Tim

Hi Gordon,

I might not have replied correctly before on the forum for you to get my message. Here are a few photos I found and I can send more in April.

Hello Tim,
I’m not in a big hurry. I’m definitely interested in your bike though. Feel free to text me when you are a couple of days out from going back to San Diego. I do have a couple of questions at present. Does it have any kind of rust issues given that it is off the coastline? How many miles (approx.) on the current bearings and groupset?

The bike has an aluminum frame and so rust is not an issue. The steel components are not rusty. It is not near the beach (where humid salt air rusts things), it is inland a number of miles in a dry area (Southern California is actually a desert).
I bought the bike in 2020 and have not ridden it very much (We moved and then I had a few injuries and surgery); I would be surprised if I put 200 miles on it. I can’t say for certain how many miles the original owner put on it, but I believe it to be modest (at the most).
I will take more pictures, etc, in about 2 weeks when I am in San Diego.

Good Morning,
Thank you for the information Tim. Very helpful! I’m feeling like this is the style of Cruzbike for me. Thanks for the update. Looking forward to your pics. Sincerely,
Gordon

You should add that with the quick release wheels it is easy to motorize. I have a Quest 2.0 motorized and I can ride it anywhere. Yours is an excellent candidate. I won’t be in the states until Summer, I am sure it will be sold by then.
