After a recovery of 6.5 months and no knee issues for the last ~2 months, PT, rest & covid19 in the meantime - went for a low intense 1h ride yesterday. I was happy the cardiologist told me I could ride with a lower intensity & I was running out of sunlight/good weather. Stupidly, I decided not to adjust the bike at all from the last ride in the summer, since it will be a short ride. Both knees didn't agree with that decision, had low but noticable pain in a few problem spots.
I will get on the bike in a few days, but I didn't need this. Immediately after the ride I fitted pedal extenders and changed to platform pedals, extended the boom for 1cm, so I can adjust in my next ride as needed. Got on the bike while stationary and even so it felt more comfortable knee-wise.
Just a mental note for everybody else: don't be stupid as I was. It was less then 30mins of work, if even that long. Sunshine goes to one's head, once seen, it lures you out to ride!
