To save others from grief to try the same thing... my LBS tried to mount Panaracer Gravelking SS 650bx48 TLC as tubeless to the stock wheels. No bueno. They couldn't get it to work. I guess I will just put in a tube for now until I can convince my wife why I need new fancy wheels. :)

Thanks, I wondered about this and was just getting ready to remove non-tubeless tire from my 2021, Q45 to see if rim might a tubeless rim. Fancy wheels are the best upgrade you can do a bike in my opinion. Were you able to tell if 48mm tires fit frame, fork?

I'm curious. The current Q45 ships with JetSet rims. I don't know which set, but they claim some of them are tubeless compatible. Are you saying your LBS was unable to get them to seat, fail to hold pressure, or the rims are designed not to accept tubeless tires. If that's the case, you might just be able to swap in a set of tubeless rims for less than the cost of new wheels.

Yes the rim wouldn't hold the pressure. I guess I can look into swapping rims... or still trying to convince my wife a new set of fancy carbon wheels are good for my exercise routine. :)

I am going to try to put them on with tubes in the next couple days and will report back. I think others said 48mm fits.

So maybe 42mm tires on 650b wheels might work on a 2019 Q45? I got a set of fancy wheels for my S40, but this got me thinking, maybe I could gain a few km/h if I switch to 650b for the Q45.

I am in the process of having some 650b wheels made. Parts are kind of hard to come by as everything seems to be out of stock. The rims will allow a tubeless tire to be mounted. I am planning on using 28 to 30 mm tires. I had a problem with the fenders. My back fender bracket at the bottom completely failed. The front fender interferes with my bike rack so I have left them off the bike.
