Has anyone here every tried riding the v20 in prone position with your legs going out amd around the back of the seat so you are pretty horizontal and then pedaling with your arms? never ridden a v20 and i cant do this on a more upright recumbent. want to know because it would give my legs a nice rest

Sorry, to be so blunt, but while I am not completely sure what you are saying, I am fairly certain that it's nonsense. You want to turn yourself around, head down and hands on the pedals!?
- There's no space for your head.
- Trying to see forward from tilted down so far will quickly damage your neck.
- Legs are longer than arms, you won't reach the pedals. (Unless your proportions are highly unconventional.)
- I assume, even if you had somewhere to put your feet for more comfort and stability, balance would be horrible.

If your legs need a rest, ride more gentle or get off the bike instead or injuring yourself with such an idea.

Oh, okay. Might be a bit more "comfortable", but also more unstable and hard to control. Your center of mass way high right on top if the front wheel. Lots of steering inertia, as you have to move your whole body together with the front if the bike. Your legs do the steering at the back, which feels very unintuitive.
On a stable trike where you can think about steering, it probably would work, but balancing a bike sounds scary. If you're goint to try it, please be prepared to fall immediately and to fall often. (I am not trying to imagine, how a fall would play out. Maybe it's a gentle landing on all fours, maybe you poke your waist with the brifter and your thigh with the end of the bar. With sufficient impact/weight the force of that last scenario could do some real damage. Please be prepared and don't be alone in case of injury.)

There was a guy at the Worlds in Austria 2 years ago on a low racer with a similar position. It did not look very comfortable from a breathing perspective and knees were spinning far too close to the ground to my liking.IMG_0445.jpeg

Former hour record holder Graeme Obree shows us how it's done, looks uncomfortable to ride, plus you are head first should you crash.

Annoying background music so you may want to turn it down.

i love how theres that clip in the obree documentary where one of the officials criticizing obree's bike is like "if we let this nonsense keep happening then the the rider who puts their nose on the damn wheel is going to win against the real athletes!" then after they banned him twice he goes on to put up all his middle fingers and actually makes the nose to the wheel bike

It's the slightly insane people who ignore the naysayers and makes this niche so great.
