Bike is SOLD!
Hi All,
Well, this is a problematic sale brought on by the pandemic. I have a Quest at my sister-in-law's in Napa, CA (I'm in Madison, WI). She is moving and I need to dispose of the bike quickly. However, due to pandemic restrictions, I cannot get out there and she is a bit elderly and unable to ship it. So, I am willing to sell it at a very low price if someone in the area wants to go pick it up. It needs a home, and I thought the Cruzbike community may be interested.
My nephew will be in Napa and can arrange the sale if you can make it there between this Sunday and the end of next week.
The particulars are:
Bought in July 2014 as one of the last Q451 models from Cruzbike.
Converted to a Q3.0 by replacing: stock Cruzbike 26 in wheels from another Q559; and a new unsuspended fork. Identical to the last generation Q559.
Drivetrain: SRAM dual drive with 9-speed cassette
Brakes; Avid BB5 (stock)
Tires: Schwalbe Marathon 40-559 (1.5 in wide 26 in)
Rear shock: upgraded to Kind ARR5 dual chamber air shock
Handlebar: Soma Gator drop bar (better knee clearance)
Pedals: Shimano Clik'R dual-sided (spd/platform)
Several accessories included: lights, seat bags, computer, shock pump, floor pump, bike tools, etc.
The included pictures are a bit old, but all I have here. It shows older tires and the suspended front fork, both of which are now gone. The Continental Gatorskin tires may still be available there, but I'll have to check. I found the Marathons to be more comfortable.
The bike is in excellent shape. It was just ridden locally around Napa for about 3 weeks each year. Just needs a dust off and probably a lube since it's been stored in a garage for the past year. Chain lube is included in accessories.
This is priced to move at $300. Give me a holler if interested. Must be picked up in Napa.
Thanks for looking!
