My timing is lucky. I was about to buy a xootr swift for conversion and found the quest just in time.

I'm delighted to see that the seat angle adjusting has been simplified. I'll buy two for my other cruzbikes as soon as those seatposts are put up on the website. I find that when I wear bulkier or thinner clothes I want to change the angle, but it's too much hassle with the current seat rails.

Can someone with a quest upload the dimensions of the the rear suspension? If there was any way to make one of the bolts a quick release, the quest could fold like a brompton or xootr, which would make it MUCH easier to get onto public transportation. I'm wondering if something like the brompton suspension block could be shimmed in: http://www.calhouncycle.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=111&idproduct=1536.

Is the quest going to be offered with a choice of chainstay lengths in 451? Or is the only way path to that combination to by a 26" and a second set of wheels? The long chainstays & small wheels would give a fast riding position (like grasshopper FX?).

For folks looking at rack options, consider the Xootr cross rack. It looks like it would work with some bags on the the 20 inch wheels and would be nicely aerodynamic.

So, tenhand, exactly what dimensions of the rear suspension are you after?

There is no difference between the Q451 & Q559 rear swing arms. From the main pivot attachment point to the shock mounting point is approx 7 1/2"; from the pivot point to the rear axle is 22 1/4". On the main frame, the distance from the pivot to the upper shock mount is approx 5 1/4". The shock length, eye-to-eye, appears to be approx 4 3/4". [My measurements were done with a tape measure & not especially accurate. I'm assuming John designed the bikes in metric units, so be forewarned.]

Actually, the only difference between the frames is the length of the chainstays & the wheel diameters. [There are also two different TFT's you can use, but these are normally more for short or long-legged riders.] The Q451 chainstay is aprox. 11" from pivot to pivot, whereas the Q559 is approx 14 5/8". The Q559 chainstay is the same (aside from the color) as the chainstay used on the Freerider/Sofrider/V2K & in the conversion kit.
