Is this a V1 of V2?

I can't seem to locate a detailed list of the differences between the V1, V2 and V20...

I think this is a V1 as well (see welded frame under seat), but Robert or Jim or Maria or Ratz may have to confirm. This definitely pre-dates my involvement in Cruzbike by years.
Yes, the boom also looks like it has a bend in it, unless an optical illusion. Hard to tell with the glare off the aluminum in the photo - but my money is that it has a slight bend in it.
Possibly a modification or a prototype of some kind if it is really bent - not sure how that would affect the handling or stability.
"BikendSoul" - Can you confirm the aluminum boom has a bend in it, and can you measure the angle for us? - Thanks

I think they have always made the bent tube for smaller riders. Just like you can get one today. This is just the V1 version of it. Notice there is no way that could be bent after the mounting bracket was welded on.

If so, this is certainly a rare bird. I have never seen the large aluminum boom bent like that. Hopefully Robert will chime in and give us the "real story"

A friend of mine just purchased this bike.
Tribe say hello to Doby Buesse from Orlando, FL.
Doby and I go way back to around 1986 when we met on a mt bike ride in the Ocala National Forest.
We were both riding big, heavy Ross mt bikes at the time.
I got invited up to the Buesse family cabin in N Georgia many times to ride the trails in the mountains.
Doby is a strong rider so I'm anxious to see how he rips it up on a Vendetta.
He was a professional water skier for a time.
He can ski with someone on his shoulders among other tricks and had gigs at a couple of Florida's water parks.
Good luck with your Cruzbike Doby!

That is not a version 1 - it has the bolt-on seat, so a second version for sure. the V1 had a seat that was welded onto the frame.

The "bent slider" part - there were a few of those that floated around so that must have been acquired at some point directly from Maria or Jim, as they were never sold that I am aware of.

Congrats Doby - what a find! - You and "barefoot biker" need to meet up. He was also a professional water skier for a time! - aka "barefoot....biker"

Thanks Bruce,
I'm excited about joining the tribe and ready to give this classic Vendetta a go. I'm sure I will stay on residential streets and bike paths for the first few hundred miles. Looking forward to finishing a ride with out a stiff back, neck and sore butt! If I can blow buy a few younger riders on their wedgie bikes, that would be great too!
The bike appears to be set up for a smaller rider. I'm hoping I don't have to make to many modifications to fit my 6'2 frame. Love that bright yellow!

I would think this bike is optimised for shorter riders. At six two you will need a larger chain stay and maybe new boom slider arrangement.

I truly hope I’m wrong.

My V2 has large chainstay and I’m 6ft one. Probably better off with 19.5 rather than large in my case as my boom is nearly horizontal. My v20 with large chainstay was not so horizontal . I think a lower B.B. is easier to ride. Heck my brevet large size has a lower B.B. than V2.

Anyhow doby welcome and fingers crossed.
