Recommended barrel adjuster for front derailleur cable stop

Can someone recommend a good barrel adjuster fro the front derailleur and a place to buy them, I talked to a couple of local bike shops and they said that they very from bike to bike and need to know a brand name and size of barrel, any help would be greatly appreciated.
