All... This message came from a new Member Bren, who intend to start a new thread but accidently made it a private message. So here you go a thread the question deserved.

Hi,

I last year had a stroke. I have learned how to ride a bike again.
Would anyone have a good idea for a recumbent bike that would or could be hand & leg powered.
I am weak from time to time on my legs. I would love to be able to use my arms/upper body to help.
Any make, style or any help to get me back riding and feeling free again would be great.
Thank you all,

Bren

Sounds like a custom trike made for handicapped riders further customized with a second crank for legs would be the best bet. I can't see you steering two wheels while cranking with you hands.

Lightfoot Recumbents out of Darby, MT made such a trike.

But I'm wondering if the OP is a candidate for the Thys Rowingbike.
