Recumbent Trike

Build your own

Here's a thought for you that could be done with a conversion kit:
1. find youself a suitable donor bike. Maybe start with a dual suspension y-frame MTB with A-head steerer.
2. convert the bike to a Cruzbike
?3. remove the rear assembly
4. convert the bike to a tilting trike similar to the iLean http://en.openbike.org/wiki/~iLean

I don't know how stable it would be with using the original BB

It may require retaining the rear assembly and a special home made bolt in 'component' that converts the rear axle to a BB. If you're handy with making things then there is an adverturous mod that would convert the rear axle to something like on the Lizard http://s81.photobucket.com/user/PoiterH/library/Petes%20Bikes/Eileen%20Velomobile?sort=3&page=1. Eileen is for sale on OzHPV for sale section.

A little Friday night brain fart of mine.

Raptotrike module

The guy at Raptobike posted a blog, a couple of years ago, showing an experimental tilting rear wheels module for his front-wheel drive recumbent bikes. The module was designed to be retro-fitted. There is a video at the link. I don't think that he ever made a production model though.
