S40 Derailleur Hanger

So I took a little spill on my S40 on Monday. Fortunately the only damange was to my pride( OK my knee) and the cassette derailleur hanger. I took the bike to my local bike shop today and they basically sent me away. Told me to return when I researched and could tell then what derailleur hanger to order.

So, can anybody tell me what derailleur hangar I need for the stock Sram GX shifter?

Thanks,

Post a photo of the bent part so we can be certain. I'll boost your user so you can post photos even as a new user.

I can post a photo of my bloody knee if that will help... LOL

I guess my next step is to take the part off the bike and see if it has any markings or part numbers. I was just hoping the knowledge of this forum would allow me to order the part before taking everything apart.

Thanks,

BTW, I have only had the S40 since early July. OMG, the best bike I have ever owned!!! Will never go back to a DF bike!! About 1100 miles since July.... loving every mile. Proud to be a memeber of ‘The Tribe.’

I think @ratz wants a photo of the hanger, on or off the bike, someone may very well be able to identify it from the picture.

I have bought spare hangers from Cruzbike in the past. Just contact customer support online and order a couple of new ones. It'll probably take about a week. My four year old V, three year old S-30, and one year old S-40 all use the same hanger. They press-fit into the chainstay, but they are easy enough to pull out and replace.
