Hi everyone , after reading all of the good things people had to say about Cruzbikes and after talking to Teacher Bill I was convinced. So I ordered a kit and I must say that it is a different riding experience but one I got used to after a couple of miles. My first ride was on the west orange bike trail I went 20 miles and loved every minute of it even though I had some mechanical problems ,all of them my fault and nothing to do with the kit parts. With that being said on with the safety warning. DO NOT RIDE A CRUZBIKE WITHOUT THE PLASTIC SPOKE PROTECTOR BETWEEN THE CASSETTE AND THE SPOKES. I wanted to change the gearing to 11 tooth high gear on the rear wheel and my old one had a freewheel instead of a free hub so I bought a second rear wheel with a 11-30 cassette so I could get higher gears and I would use 2 rear wheels so I could have a quick release on the rear of the bike. But my new wheel did not have a spoke protector on it and I didn't think about it and put it together and on the bike,BIG MISTAKE. About 12 miles into my ride I tried to shift into my 30 tooth low gear and I guess I didn't have my deraileur adjusted correctly and the chain jumped past the sprocket and got caught in between the sprocket and the spokes . The front tire locked up and I almost went over the handlebars. When I got stopped the back tire was 4 feet off the ground. The chain was jammed up,it broke 2 spokes and cut half way through 4 more ond ripped one out of the hub.after I got the chain unstuck and tried to true my now badly warped wheel I limped on back about 8 miles to the car. This could have been a lot worse, I was only going about 10 mph if I was going any faster I would have met mr pavement. So make sure you have a spoke protector on your front wheel it might just keep you from killing yourself. But even with that mishap I can't wait to go 40 miles next time, this thing is a joy to ride, I can see a silvio in my future. Bob.

Hey, thanks for the advice. It is my 3rd Cruz and second with conversion (named CFF). This one don note have de PSP. After reading your wise comment I will add on asap. Security is important. Thanks again !
