Salsa Woodchipper Handlebars

Hi,

Ran across these handlebars on the Salsa web site. Wondering if having the drops in a straighter line than say the Gary bars would make a difference. The outward angle of the Gary bars looks awkward to me.

Those are interesting looking bars. Like you, I'm not a Silvio owner yet, but I figure I'll buy mine complete and try out changing the cockpit only if I feel the need for some adjustment.

At first I thought the Gary

At first I thought the Gary handlebars looked odd but I find them really comfortable and not awkward at all. Others may prefer a straight drop as you can see in photos of Maria achieving her UMCA record on a Silvio. I don't think any one bar is superior, it is simply a matter of personal choice.

Just put salsa bars on the Silvio. A definite improvement for me. Have not figured out the best place for the brifters yet but winters coming and I solve a lot of fit issues on the trainer.
