Yes I rotated the handle bars as you suggested - there only seems to be a narrow widow that works well - but its good when you have it dialed in.
The third wheel may just be rain on the lens - it is Scotland!!

Did the Edinburgh to St Andrews again this year 100KM and 1KM of total climbing in 5:45 approx including a cake stop. Here is a picture from after the last steep climb.
there were only a few recumbents but I think I was first.
