BACCHETTA BRAIN BOX REAR BAG ON AN S30
The Bacchetta Brain Box rear bag works well on a Silvio S30, but only after modification to hold it up.
Problem: A seriously drooping bag, With the rider compressing the rear shock the bag can drag on the rear wheel, about as slow as riding with a flat.
Solution: Cut a wood rectangle and push it all the way up.
Procedure:
(1) Cut a 7-inch by 5-inch rectangle of thin wood paneling veneer.
(2) Push the wood rectangle up into Brain Box upside-down pocket, wide dimension sideways.
(3) IMPORTANT: Note the photo close-up of the shiny seat back with bottom of rectangle pushed up atop the peak of the seat back. If this is not done, the bag will droop, the wood rectangle lying on the face of the seat back uncomfortably between one's shoulders.
(4) The bag rides nicely high after modification, and as shown is heavily loaded with supplies.
Parts:
$65.00 Bacchetta Brain Box rear bag. Reflective strip on back to hang light-weight light, but I used Silvio headrest tube.
$0.00 7x5-inch wood veneer (thin) rectangle cut to size to keep rear bag from drooping onto rear tire.
