seatpost trouble

I am in the process of trying to add the conversion kit to a 700c roadbike but just realized the the seatpost that came with the bike has an attached seat clamp which won't rotate to be able to attach to the rails on the seat back.

Does anyone know of any 27.2mm seatposts that would work with the conversion kit or any ideas on what to do?

27.2 is a common seat post size, so most bike shops would have some lying around. The simple type will fit the seat post clamp.
