Should I lubricate my pin before inserting?

Step 35 says "Connect the top tube arm and the head stem extension tube using the Dowel pin"

Should I grease it first?

Same with the TFT and Chain stay bushes.

I figure if the instructions don't say to, then don't. I am wondering if they are phosphor bronze or something.

I say grease it.

I have always subscribed to the idea of putting a thin film of grease on anything that makes metal-to-metal contact, specifically when it comes to bicycle assembly.

I may be wrong, but I certainly think it will not hurt.

Grease!

My Sofrider V1 had no grease in any of the frame pivots anywhere and there were no instructions applicable to the Sofrider MBB.

My bike was one of the early models... things have changed for the better!

I greased all of the pivots on my bike and also clean and re-grease them every year.
Greasing the pivots has not hurt and it must help:
my bike is going on seven years old now!
