Silvio V2.0 for sale in the UK

Selling my Cruzbike Silvio 2.0 which I had from new having bought the frameset in 2014. The bike was professionally assembled by Geared Bikes in Chichester. The bike is in the UK and I can package it for domestic or international shipping.

I enjoyed learning to ride the MBB FWD platform and used the bike recreationally, but most of my riding now is commuting or utility trips (as well as occasional bikepacking/bikerafting) and I am shifting to N-1 mode. Garmin says I’ve clocked just over 600km on the Silvio which sounds about right.

The Silvio 2.0 is a very fast and comfortable recumbent, not all-out racer. Uniquely, it has front and rear suspension (about 1” of travel) which c

The seat angle is perfect both for speed and good comfort and visibility.

Newer iterations of the Silvio do not feature suspension and are a little more upright.

The full spec includes:

- hydroformed Alu frame/chassis, carbon fibre suspension stays
- full suspension (front air shock, rear titanium leaf spring). This is a joy on b-roads and real world, broken tarmac
- Ultegra triple chainset (52-39-30) paired with XT deraileur and 11-36 10-speed XT cassette for 567% range;
- Ultegra brifters
- TRP hy/rd cable-actuated hydro disc brakes
- 50mm aero carbon wheels with Novatec hubs

Extras included with the bike:

- chainstay extensions: 150mm (currently fitted) and 100mm. I am 6’2” and could use either extension but prefer the higher leg position of the 150mm. With these extensions any adjustability is possible within a wide height range, including very tall riders
- headrest bottle cage holder
- rearview mirrors
- front light mount
- suspension adjustable headrest (not fitted)
- rear light mount bar (not fitted)
- Perez clamps (not fitted)
- SKS full length removable mudguards (they work rather well; I have swapped front and rear for excellent coverage)
- 53t chainring with tooth guard

Wheels are set up tubeless with Stans valves, double layer rim tape and sealant. This works well with 28mm Hutchinson Secteur tyres, but the tyres show their age and you will want to replace them with something more modern.

This was a project bike to satisfy my curiosity and is in very good condition throughout. Actually, it’s in excellent condition!

I can package this in a bike box for collection by a bike courier company or Bike flights etc. for international shipping. It packs really well into a regular bike box.

Questions are welcome.

I posted this first a couple of years ago but then hesitated whether I should keep it. I have not ridden since and am now looking to downsize.
