Smaller wheels on the Vendetta?

I was wondering if anyone has

I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of a Vendetta with 26" wheels.

Would it look something like a Performer High Racer? I think this looks pretty sleek with the 26 wheels.

Just a thought, but wouldn't you have an inexpensive V by just cutting off that boom and putting an old Cruzbike conversion kit on it?

I know Doug Burton has thought about doing the same thing to his recumbent tandem...

(In both cases, because it's so un-reversible, I'd find it hard to do...)

Strictly aerodynamically speaking, it is my understanding that lower is faster because it reduces drag caused by vortexes. Those horizontal tornadoes of drag that follow behind us.
The lower you are the more the bottom of the tornado is chopped off by the ground.
This is why low wing airplanes can find themselves floating down the runway for a longer that expected distance when trying to land. While they are in ground effect the vortexes are reduced and with the less drag they float longer before landing.
Just my 2 cents.

It's my impression that this is not a huge effect in bicycles.

That being said, this is very testable (although I doubt the difference between 700c and 559c wheels would be big enough to easily see).

Somebody with a Vendetta with the same hubs and same tires for 700c and 406c wheels should do some roll down tests. The 406c tires will likely have higher rolling resistance, but we can tease these effects out.

I can donate an Ultremo 406 to mitigate that :)
