Wow, a real forum. The Yahoo Group was nice to have, thanks to the folks who kept it going, but a real forum is so much better.
Now back to the subject. I'm purchasing from Bryan at BROL the Sofrider V1 he had demoed. I've wanted a Cruzbike for a while now. After purchasing my velomobile I didn't have any spare pocket change so I built my own. The first version had no suspension and a wooden slat seat. After learning how to stay on and ride it, I rode it to work one day. That was the last time I rode version 1. The bike beat me to death. I was so sore, I started to make version 2 with full suspension. That was a year and a half ago. The bike is just about finished. Problem now is I can't find the bottom bracket. It's lost. During the time I was building version 2 I had to learn how to braze and weld to make the parts I needed. A few times I almost bit the bullet and purchased the kit but there was always something in the way, such as kit supply problems or financial problems on my end. A couple of weeks back Bryan posted a lowered price on his Sofrider V1. I did the math real fast in my head and realized that the whole bike was just a bit more than what the kit would cost. I thought that the Sofrider would be better than a built up kit bike and so I contacted Bryan and made him an offer of payments that would work for me. Last payment was sent today. So I'm hopeful that within a couple of weeks I'll have my new Cruzbike Sofrider.
