Some uploaded pictures display upside down

I don't know if this can be resolved with a change to the Drupal settings or if Jim just needs to figure out how to rotate his camera so the pictures he takes don't rotate upside down when posted to the forums here.

Note however, that those same images when viewed via another browser tab or saving a copy of the image and viewing locally display correctly which suggests the Drupal config is doing something it shouldn't.
