Starting to assemble my Franken-T

Some bits of significance... My ugly, soon to painted silver, pivot clamp. Combination of an adjustable stem and offroad roll-bar accessory mount clamps, with some elbow grease! I need a sexier bolt than the 3/8th bolt holding it together right now!

Slotted the end of my 1.5 inch tube and clamped it with a Gibralter drum-stand clamp. They happen to be perfect and inexpensive! Did have to swap out the bolt, as the one it came with had a head for a tuning wrench. ;)
@Rampa from post # 3:

The images don't seem to be coming through for me. Can you post some of the pivot clamp you made and how you made it?

And can you expand on how much contact you have between your original front triangle piece and the new boom tube, how many inches long are in contact and it is just the one clamp holding them together right? Do they touch for a significant length along the inside of your new tube? Do you notice significant difference in handling or is it just about adjustability?

Cheers,
Ben.

So I combined these into a single unit with protruding parts on either side (there single sided initially):

and the steerer clamp of an adjustable stem. Just used a bushing and a 3/8 bolt I had laying around So my clamp is mostly SAE. I am still planning to update it when I stumble across something that seems better.

Don't really feel like disassembling to get photos. I hope this gives you the idea. :)

I did. I also had to make a flat spot for the bolt heads to sit. But I only had to drill out the top. The big bolt that holds everything together clamps the bottom part. So I only needed the two little bolts at the top.
