  • Yep. External fork design as seen some tt bikes. This allows to mount the boom horizontally and directly to the fork. I'm just about to upgrade my 3d printer to use nylon/carbon filament and then skin it in carbon fiber to be sure it's strong. Print the whole fork assembly in one 50hr pass. The drawing was done with onshape with is data compatible with simscale which can do cfd and stress analysis simlations. But just started a new job and now time poor.

Although, I'd like to mod no3 to this aero config in steel as proof of concept but then I'd only have my road bike to ride until it was done. I Don't fancy that.

Wishbone? Streamline tube..... Yes. Thinking of incorporating a wheel cover over the top quarter of each wheel to finish the aero gains

You have all the cool toys to play with. It may take some extra effort to keep that adjustable MBB boom interface from rotating/moving against leg torque since that joint takes both beam bending and torsion about the centerline. Keep on truckin'!

I built a carbon fiber wheel cover that protected the top 1/3 of the wheel. I think was a bit of overkill because it adds weight and is a bit wider than the wheel so it adds new form drag at the same time it is lowering drag on the top of the wheel. So "less is more" is what I would suggest. With the front wheel cover off I am faster in a constantly surging fast group ride because of the lighter bike. For now I am leaving it off. I would suggest very thin CF sheet in an area that is already well supported, that way it is "weightless".
