I saw an escooter unsolicited rental arrangement that could be achieved by a phone app. You have to give your id and payment by the phone and it would sync with the escooter that you were picking up off the street.
I was impressed with the amount of trust that the organisers had in the system. Why wouldn't some joe just come and plonk it in his Faraday truck ... never to be seen again? Guess the escooter with tracker and computer must be a similar price to a T50. So why not have 5 T50s ... running around in the city for people to rent and use? If it works for escooter ... it surely has to work for a T50? Of course a nice waxed chain and a tachometer would be a basic necessity. Maintenance perhaps every 500 km? New chain every 3000 km. Just be an 11 speed system with big comfy wheels.

Just a little how it works - you download the VOI app, you have to scan your provisional license before use. You can either pay as you go or buy a pass for either 24 hours(£10) or 1 month(£40) this pass means you can use the scooters for as long as you want in this time but if any ride exceeds 45mins it will start to charge you per minute after that. Then you find a scooter, scan the barcode, then click unlock. (If you have a pass unlocking is free of charge. If you use pay as you go , you will have to pay £1 to unlock)
