Team Results and a big surprise

Well I may have gambled and lost when I tossed my name in that espresso hat. The team just folded due to one riders surgery being moved up to tomorrow. Even more ironic is me being the only one from team 5 to volunteer for team 1, team 5 already filled it's A rider quota. So either I don't race or I maybe get stuck with the Larry's team 6 from last week and I do my best to straighten them out. Maybe I jump in with the bees if it all goes to hell.

never mind looks like I'm leading team 5, time to make 2 other A rider regret not opting for team 1 with me and 4 other B racers for joining a team with riders who have incurred my rath :emoji_smiling_imp:

Would have bee-n a great learning experience for us bees. But glad to hear you are racing in the right bracket.

Ummm I was checking my team signups on ZP and I always order the list buy highest to lowest 20 min wkg, pushes my riders towards the top for easy finding. Whose name do I see at the very top? If it isn't our old friend Dan Pedroza now putting out A+ power numbers now. You guys better give him a workout or I'm going to poach him for my team next week. You may want to ask him what he did to get his gains because he's improved massively, maybe he has a special line on some fancy donuts.

@RojoRacing , Dan has been on Killer Bees for awhile, but he took several weeks off to race some local criteriums. I'm surprised to see him back this early, actually.

Dan was around when we were still the deadly gophers but back then he was still playing second fiddle to me. Now according to ZP he’s completely eclipsed me.

@RojoRacing - I signed up for ATP A/B Frappe for July 9th

Well good luck, let us see where we end up after everyone puts their name in the hat. If I end up in Frappe again I think I'll be starting out my 2-3 weaker riders at 30 seconds from the start. I find racers have too much pride to reduce their pull time on their own mid race and end up going till either they start failing halfway through and causing chaos or they end up dropping out of the rotation completely. There's a certain level of maturity and experience requires to be a good teammate when you are the underdog. The problem I end up with the espresso group is we already start at 30 seconds so I don't get to reduce my rotation time.

For as great as my team's discord audio was two weeks ago, last week was a complete cluster leading straight into the final 30 seconds of our countdown, it was so bad I thought I was going to have to mute everyone and just call shots to a silenced team. I wish each rider took their discord setup as seriously as their training for these races.

I have had a difficult time getting my Discord setup on my phone working. Last Thursday I had 3 sets of earbuds/mics, one wired and 2 wireless. None worked well. This week I'm switching to a USB headset running from my computer running Discord instead of the phone. Hopefully this will be the solution.
