The CVRT Sticky Bottles’ unbeaten streak against the Cruzbike Chicks is still alive—but it’s never been more in jeopardy than it will be this Thursday evening in the team time trial on Watopia’s Hilly Route. Three laps. Three climbs up the Hilly KOM. The Stickies are the last of the Cruzbike Virtual Race Teams yet to be beaten by the Chicks, who have already thumped both High Speed and Low Drag.
Cruzbike Chick Connie didn’t hold back: “The Stickies have to climb the Hilly KOM three times in one race. I know my husband Hardy doesn’t climb it three times in one month. We got this. I just hope they don’t hurt themselves.”
Vegas seems to agree, placing the money line at +120 for the Stickies, -140 for the Chicks, citing both the brutal elevation and reports that the Stickies are scrambling to find enough racers this week.
Sticky Bottler Hardy had this to say in response: “Sure, climbs are a little challenge for me—but don’t tell them. I know a little shortcut.” When asked about the rumored roster shortage, he added, “Don’t worry about that. They should worry about their own roster. We’re gonna ask the Cruzbike Facebook page for help... (gulp).”
