Yeah, it said "Cruzbike threads seem to always turn out badly because, intended or not, they always come across as being evangelical. The rest of us tend to react to Cruzbike evangelism the same way that upright riders react to recumbent evangelism: defensively. If anything, this thread could teach some of us to tone down our recumbent preaching, because it amply demonstrates how effective the strategy is. (Namely, NOT!!!)"

I disagree. Most threads about a person's bike or trike can be read as evangelical in some way, everyone has their favourites. But what happens in cruzbike threads is that a couple of regulars never fail to place a mischievous construction on what has been said, as a kind of sport. Because cruzbike riders really do believe in the very different positives of the bike, they are easy targets for trolls. I think that is a much more convincing explanation. I think there is resentment in a few at the success that has been gained, for whatever reason. A good sign we are doing well.

Well I was thinking, I have a large contact list these days, very underutilised, (why does my browser insist I spell like an amuricen) and we could petition them to en masse insist they are being rational in their preference for a cruzbike.

Great idea!!

I like how the thread has turned to justifying the BROLers attitude toward Cruzers. Hilarious!

Say.... Who's down for handing out sales brochures in front of donut shops?

There is no obviously shortage of hyper-sensitive souls on BROL. If it weren't for the copyright laws it would be fun to produce some t-shirts with the Kool-Aid guy riding on a Cruzbike and see how many we could sell on BROL.

The other option would be to come up with some kind of spin on the Flying Spaghetti Monster. http://www.venganza.org/ THAT'S IT!!!!

Crap, somebody already kinda beat us to it:

I haven’t posted on this last discussion on BROL but have read the comments.
I think Cruzbike will increase their sales with the products they offer today and the possible models to come in the future. The design is good and many people can see that.

I think many BROL members are positive to Cruzbike but there are also some that have to get negative.
Maybe there will be less negative comments in the future?

it has reached the point of being amusing each time cruzbike comes up on brol. bryan shows great patience with the whole thing.
props to you john for jumping in there.

one interesting thing coming out of that thread is that bill cook is experimenting with mbb/fwd and appears to be using a cruzbike kit to accomplish it.

It's always the same few who have never even seen a Cruzbike let alone ridden one, but yet they are somehow experts on it.

Now, now. Don't throw the bucket of zany paint on everyone on BROL, much less everyone on that particular thread.

I have to point out that it was only a couple, three really ornery sorts with a couple more hangers on that were ragging on Cruzbikes, and actually it was more of a sophomoric pi**ing effort to 'correct' the grammar of the original poster, who really didn't write anything to elicit the bi***iness, more so than any real slam on fwd bikes. There was definitely a bucket of ooze some were sipping from that night, more so than I'm used to reading on BROL.

We're all in this alternative 2 wheel universe together.

Now Kumbaya, ya'll... :D

Frankly you can thank those zany BROLers for their BROL brawl as it nudged me over to the sigma site and the cruz site just to peek in. I have to say I'm disappointed in the Sigma site, the site, not the design, as there still isn't a price posted anywhere that I can see. I realize there's a school of thought to the, 'if you have to ask, you can't afford it' idea, but I would like to know up front just how much those puppies are.

... sigma site has not developed much - its a quandary how we position against the FWD stuff.
