Thule Verse 2" review

I got a new hitch rack at the REI Labor day sale. My old Thule hitch rack is still going strong about 17 years old, but I wanted a tool free one. The Verse is new, some reviews complained about a lot of plastic parts, but I found metal where it mattered (I hope). Anyway I like it so far, the rack was easy to mount, and it has the arms that you need to carry a V20 (or other cruzbikes). The tire holders can be moved a few inches left / right to help with positioning of multiple bikes.

Hopefully it lasts us as long as the other Thule did (which is going on FB marketplace)

Thanks for the info. Is that the stock chainstay or a longer one? Do you have any concerns with how far out to the sides the bike sticks out when driving?

That is the long chainstay. I'm 6'3".

I think the pic makes the bike look wider than it really is. Plus the Tesla is relatively narrow for a vehicle these days (a Ford F150 is 8" wider). So no I don't really have concerns about the width, but I have noticed that people give a berth to me when passing, so it is obvious it sticks out. I can't drive into my garage stall with it on, and ATMs and drive-thrus may also be a problem...but I don't really go to ATMs much anymore.

Edit: i measured the V20 it is 80" from headlight to race case. Not quite symmetrical but not too bad.

Seth, thanks for the reply. Similar for me: 6'3" with longer chainstay (not the longest) and about 80" for bike, putting on hitch rack (different hitch rack) for compact car that is about 70" wide excluding mirrors. So it sticks out to about width of the car mirrors if I have the bike perfectly centered.
