I can not answer for Jack, but I like the lower hand position to make life a good deal easier on my x-athlete shoulders. I have about worn them out, but not ready for the knife yet.....

I like those bars...but you gotta lose the sox. My wife threatened to saw off my feet if she caught me in sandals with sox on.

I've been threatening to switch over to the Volae-type bars on my Conversion for some time. The "std" flat bar is OK but I think I would prefer a lower hand position as I tend to get some numbing of the hands over time.

I think its the higher arm position.its also easy to pull on the bars from that position for starting off and hills. Jack

Jack,

What handlebars are those? I had gotten the Evo Pro bars from Calhoun Cycles and found it was too tight of a fit and would like to get something with more drop than the flat bar.

Thanks,

Dan

I got the bars out of the junk bin at a bicycle co-op os have no idea what they are. Some specs 23 -24 in wide and about 1 -2 in rise. I cut about 1.5 in off them. I have plenty of knee clearance even with a short stem turned upside down and slid down the steering mast. Over the last 3 weeks I put over 250 miles on the bike and its just right. I might just put a set on my Silvio. Jack
