Trunk Bag for Q Heavy duty rack

I have the Q Touring and Commuting rack on order. I have looked everywhere for Trunk bags compatible with the the Racktime SnapIT mount. But I cannot find any in the US. Racktime makes some great looking ones, but not available here.

Does anyone have a source for a compatible trunk bag or have experience with adapting to another mount system, like MTX for example.

Hi Hubbs,
Good luck with the search. What I use is a handlebar bag and just hook it on the seat back and that gives me 5-7litres and super easy to put on and off. Sorry I can't help you with compatibility, my mounting options usually involve zip ties and shoe laces or something that is universal fit like regular panniers that fit any size tubing rack. If you find some that suit your need definitely post some pictures and write-up for others to make use of your expertise.

You could add the SnapIt Adapter to any bag. I wonder if it will work on my Tubus rack (same company).

This is a 7L to 11L rack bag that uses 4 velcro straps to hold and centre the bag tightly to the rack, and it is water proof even without the built in rain cover..

I'm using a VAUDE Silkroad L Snap-It for my daily commute and as hand luggage on my longer tours. Got mine from roseversand.de.
For my weekend tours, I attached the SnapIt adapter to a cheap but voluminous bag. It works very well.

My wife has an M-Wave Box on her bike. It's widely available. They also have other type of panniers.

This topic has my interest.
I’m ordering the commuter rack as well wondering if there are any other responses out there.
I’ve got a Topeak MTX top bag (side fold out side panniers) that I bought for my former road bike that I’d like to fit. The Topeak bag has the bottom rail system with front spring loaded catch to hold the whole package in place quite securely.

Has anyone either modified the Q45 rack or the Topeak bag to acheive a similar secure attachment.

Alternatively, I’ve got two voluminous side bags I bought back in the good ol’ 80s that have hooks top and bottom that I’m sure I could attach.

I found the Ortlieb trunk works. It clips right onto the QX100 rack.
