Tubeless Tire Blow-out

I guess Larry is not going to tell us about his latest tire adventure at the Mid Atlantic and how one's decisions can reward or bite you? With today's ust compliant wheelsets now providing hand-on, hand-off tubeless assembly and hand pump ability it may pass sliced bread as the greatest thing ever. Using the new pro one, an Easton SL 90 rim, and tire repair become easy-peasier than ever before. Even more easy-peasy than what the ancient tube users continue to helplessly hang on to. If the sealant failed to work, pop in a Dyna plug, if the gash is too large for this hand pop of the tire and hand pop on another one. Pump (hand/co2) and go (sealant optional). Don't worry about that rim tape leak, you cant bugger it up. The Easton rim is solid and doesn't require tape! How sweet is that? It's no longer a tubeless bandwagon, hop on the tubeless train -- woo-woo!

I've been using Hutchinson tubeless tires for years with no issue so far. I've rarely been on a group ride where at least one person hasn't had a flat. In every case, the puncture was so small as to be barely visible; never large enough that a tubeless tire would have failed to seal it. Regardless, I always carry a couple of spare tubes and CO2 cartridges with me, just in case.
