Tubes

If you can stuff the old tube in there, run 'em. If it's a pain, replace 'em. That's a pretty narrow tire for a mountain bike rim, go easy and make sure they stay hooked on the bead.

You can roll the bracekts down and put some packing between the fork leg and the bracket to lower the front wheel in the fork, if you didn't already try it.

The ubiquitous moulded disc tabs cause a problem fixing the front triangle on all the standard air shocks I can find.
Cut it off.

My problem is finding forks like that which I can be reasonably sure will take the increased loading of my incredible bulk ~90kg.
All the air shocks that I can find online have mouldings with two tabs and the whole shape of the fork is different cf. to the other.
Can you suggest forks that will do the job.

The one pictured had two tabs, also. The one has been cut off and filed off. Most decent forks should handle your "incredible bulk". I have about 30 more pounds of incredible bulk than you do.
