Ultegra 6800 FD - please help

The installation instructions call for a tool (TL-FD68) to determine whether to set the converter on or off when attaching the FD cable. I don't have one of those tools. Anyone here build a V20 with Ultegra 6800 and have experience with this?

The Vendetta/Silvio Cable will be biases to the left because it pulls from the BB area.
So if you had the tool your result would look like this.
