Upper Body Workout?

I just completed my longest ride on my Q45 yesterday - 61 km. Last night / today, I'm really feeling my triceps and chest muscles!

Has anyone else noticed that their arms get a bit of a workout in addition to their legs riding a Q45?

I think it happens on cruzbike platforms, I had a T50 and after the first longish ride (20 kmish), My left upper body was kind of paralyzed and hurt for two days

Yes it does. But if you ride often, it disappears as the body adapts and develops the necessary muscles.

Also the upper body will learn to relax and not do the death grip after a few months. I am still working on the death grip after 2000 miles. It's a difficult instinct to get rid of.

yes, you want the death grip workout to disappear, but you will still have an upper body workout based on design.

Narrower, more vertical instead of gull wing makes it harder to steer at slow speed when the legs get in the way but give a pull that is closer lined up to the leg push and therefore feels a little better to me. See my avatar and more so the S40 and V20 setups. Does the your setup have mountain bike components or road? That will determine your simplest options.

Did I understand your question?
