Can the riders of the southern Sunny states, or Spain, respond on what UV sleeves, leggings that they use, and how hot they are in 38C (100 F) days riding.

I used Sugoi UV arm sleeves near Kamloops BC, in July 2013, and cooked, but I did not put water on them!

I use these and definitely give them a soak, your arms are the air conditioner of the body. It's amazing when they are wet how cool they become at 30mph. In mid summer this year Murcia (Spain) it got a little higher than 52c. I don't go out when it's like that. I prefer to have a bullet proof coffee and go out at 7am to 7:30 and back before 11. Between 12 and 4 it's underneath the parasol and going for the occasional dip in the meditaranean.

The house feels like an oven so it's really good to get on the bike before breakfast.

I put factor 30 sunscreen on my legs... I guess if I shaved factor 50

I have both arm and leg sleeves, bought them in July and have only used them a couple of times. First time I rode with them, I thought I'd burn up (95F+ outside) but when I stopped and wet them down, they kept me nice and cool...when moving. Incentive not to stop moving!

I slather exposed skin with 30 or 50 spf stuff. My nose, esp. appreciates a dab of 50spf.

I use Pearl Izumi arm sleeves in Arizona, and the cooling works very well dry. It never occurred to me to wet them, but if they NEEDED to be wet it would be a fail here anyway, since they would be dry again within ten minutes of leaving the house.
